Bloggers, DJs and Presenters are killing the Ghana Music Industry - Attractive

Cape Coast's Yes 102.9 FM popular presenter Attractive the HouseBreaker has made some alarming comments on the Ghana Music Industry quite recently. He said that Bloggers, Presenters and DJs are killing the Ghana Music Industry slowly.

Attractive who is the host of RapTime GH, a radio show for promoting upcoming artistes in the Central and Western Region said that, Bloggers are not helping the Music Industry because they always promote Nigerian and South African songs more than Ghana songs.

He said that, some of these bloggers have very few Ghanaian songs on their site but a lot of Nigerian and south African Songs. Yet when Nigerian sites are visited, all you find there mostly are Nigerian songs. Hardly will you see a Ghanaian song on a Nigerian blog, except that it was a collaboration between a Ghanaian artiste and a Nigerian artiste.

He also mentioned that, DJs and Presenters also hardly play Ghanaian songs when they are on air. These Ghanaian DJs are always promoting Nigerian Music.
Attractive said, if they continue with this, in the next 4 to 5 years, it will be very difficult to hear Ghana Music on our Radio stations.

He suggested that if these Bloggers, Presenters and DJs come together to promote Ghana Music, Ghana songs will move to international and so will the name of Ghana be made proud.
